History of Vice Lord Gang

The Vice Lord Gang was founded in the 1950s in the city of Chicago. The gang was formed in the North Lawndale area, which was primarily African-American and had a high concentration of poverty. The original Vice Lord Gang was a social club that was created to provide a sense of community and belonging for its members.

Over time, the Vice Lord Gang became more involved in criminal activities, including drug trafficking, prostitution, and extortion. The gang's membership grew, and it soon became one of the largest and most powerful street gangs in Chicago.

In the 1980s, the Vice Lord Gang began to expand its operations outside of Chicago, establishing a presence in other cities across the United States. The gang's influence also spread to prisons, where it established a reputation for violence and intimidation.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Vice Lord Gang began to experience internal conflicts and splinter groups began to form. These conflicts led to a decrease in the gang's power and influence.

Although the Vice Lord Gang has a long history of violence and criminal activity, there are efforts underway to help gang members break the cycle of poverty and crime. Organizations like Gangstaz4god are working to provide education, job training, and support to help gang members transition to a more positive and productive lifestyle.
